Equipment support
Two in the blue is seeking some sponsorship in the form of equipment. We will need a wide range of gear of the highest quality to make it through the many miles of open ocean and ice that lie between the two poles. If you can assist us in the provision of any of the following items we would be delighted to hear from you. Two in the blue will return the favour by showcasing your product in some of the most rugged environments in the word, providing a product review, photographs of equipment in use and a link to your website.
SCUBA equipment: Two in the blue will be exploring the high seas and the depths of the icy oceans! We are seeking two full sets of SCUBA equipment capable of operating in cold water environments. We are also seeking dry-suits, fins, masks and other related equipment.
Kayaks: Kayaks provide the perfect platform for exploring amidst the ice while savouring the silence of the vast polar landscapes. Due to space limitations aboard Widdershins we are seeking collapsible kayaks capable of standing up to the harsh polar conditions.
Sails: Widdershins will be at sea for months at a time – we need the best quality sails to make sure we cross the boundless ocean safely. We are seeking sponsorship to completely replace all sails (Main, Mizzen, Genoa) and are happy to include a prominent logo on the new sails.
Skis: What better way to explore the poles than on skis? We are seeking good quality back-country skis and associated equipment to get us around on shore and to help us explore the frozen poles.
Polar clothing: Two in the blue will be facing hard conditions and we need clothing and outer shells to keep us warm and dry. We need good quality offshore sailing shells and also plenty of warm layers!
Camera housing and equipment: Two in the blue need good photographic equipment to capture the wonderful landscapes and wilderness encountered during the trip. We use Canon equipment for still photography and are looking for an underwater housing, a spare camera and also film equipment.
Fishing equipment: Two in the blue will be living off the sea wherever possible – this means lots of fishing! We are looking for good quality rods and reels as well as a good, well-stocked tackle box suitable for blue water fishing.
